Southeast of Pitalito, sits the municipality of Palestina. Palestina is considered the “the water and forest factory of Huila”—due to the various protected micro-basins found within its watershed, its rich biodiversity and most of all, for its inhabitants’ commitment to conserving this environment and its natural resources.
