In Chimaltenango, it supports the development of farmer groups; improves farmers’ access to markets and essential services; strengthens business practices; supports farmers’ recovery from the Roya crisis; and helps increase farm yields by sharing agricultural best practices for adapting to the effects of climate change. HRNS also offers agronomy trainings and various courses. In the last 3 years they have seen 58% of women had begun participating in farmer groups.
