In 2012, Vunga placed 13th in the Rwanda Cup of Excellence and 4th in 2014.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eCooperative members deliver coffee to the station, hand sort, and float the cherry. It is then pulped and washed in the newly constructed serpentine, funded through infrastructure investments from Raw Material (our exporting partner).\u003cbr\u003eLast year, Raw Material paid a premium of $0.35 USD per kilo of milled green coffee to the Vunga cooperative in order to help fund the necessary infrastructure upgrades, totaling 2 million Francs (~$2,400 USD before tax).
